Four Tips For Visualizing Success

In the past few days, we discussed how visualization–the practice of mentally rehearsing your goals and objectives–can help you achieve success.

Visualization can help you generate income. It can help you with your trading and investing skills. It can even help you save money.

There’s actually nothing that mental rehearsal can’t help you achieve.

Experts on visualization say there are a few things to consider to make visualization more effective.

Pick Your Perspective

Experts seem to be divided into two camps on this one. Some experts say to make the visualization first-hand; in other words, you are actually looking out from yourself and seeing the task being accomplished. Another school of thought says to visualize in the third-person; you are watching yourself take part in the activities, or accomplishing the goal. Try both and determine which one feels better and, of course, achieves results.

Feel It

For visualization to be successful, experts say you shouldn’t just visualize it, you should feel it real. Use all of your senses: hearing, seeing, touching, smelling, and even tasting.

Follow The Process

A new theory is that visualization is more successful when you visualize the entire process. Don’t just visualize your income statement going up, see the trading opportunities arise, see the numbers, see the chart, see yourself making the trade, then see the income statement. Go through the whole process.

Practice

Make visualization and actual practice. Don’t just resort to it in times of need. When you approach it in only in desperation, visualization tends to be another type of meditation: worry. It’s better to find a  corner in your busy day, relax, keep silent, and engage in your visualization exercises.
