I discovered a wonderful blog about (semi-)passive income called Living Off Dividends. It’s the story of a guy who read a book and actually took action to make things happen. And they happened.

Which book? Rich Dad Poor Dad. The whole point of the book is that anyone can go out and start making money, without relying on their job. And that is exactly what ND, the author of the Living off Dividends blog, did.

Here’s a post about the income from his blog, and the sources of the income.

What is so great about his blog?

1. Transparency
   ND is totally open about what he is doing and why. It takes a certain amount of courage to put your personal (or at least financial) life on the internet for anyone to read. In this post, he shows how he is making $2,253/month for the first quarter of 2009.
2. Inspiration
   When he shows us what he is thinking, what books he read, and why he is doing it, a powerful message is sent to the reader. I felt like, “If he can do it, then so can I.” And it’s true. Any one of us can achieve the exact same thing.
3. Results
   He is actually making money and succeeding. He has grown his blog from zero to $27,000 per year in profit. That’s pretty impressive. It’s $27,000 more per year than most people make outside of their job.
4. Details
   The blog includes the details of exactly what he is doing and where the money is coming from. This makes it possible to accurately analyze what is working.

With millions of blogs on the internet, and the number increasing each day, we have the same problem of too much information. Finding an insightful and useful blog like this is really wonderful.
