    Very impressive stats – well done!
    And I started to feel great with my few thousands! :(

    Can you give a rough breakdown of where your readers come from (ie Search engines, RSS readers, email subscribers, social media, blog comment links, do they mostly read new posts/old posts, etc.) and any tips you have to increase the reach of a website in general

    Hi Jez,

    For last month, it was 9% direct traffic, 56% referring sites, 33% search engines, and 2% other (whatever that means). Our readers averaged 1.6 pages/visit.

    The biggest social media sites were Tip’d, Reddit and eHow(?). The largest number of clicks from another blog came from http://www.automated-trading-system.com. Do you know it? It’s pretty good.

    One thing that we did that seemed to help was comment on other people’s blogs. I think our biggest success has been generating traffic on Tip’d and Reddit. Maybe Matt has some ideas too.

    Hey Jez–

    I sent you an email with a short eBook that I’m using as a guide.
    I believe in two things, now: trying very hard to write content that will help people and to become part of a community. And, as George mentions, one tactic is to comment on other blogs.
    I hope that helps.

    Hey George,

    Thanks for the update..

    For me it’s mostly referring sites and RSS (feedburner). Google traffic is very little but I guess this might take time to build.
    I guess if you can build traffic in tip’d and Reddit, this is very good, however this does not seem to happen for me. So well done for that!
