The Lazy Winner Review and More Cheap Kindle Books
There are some books that you read to learn.
And there are books you read as reminders.
I’d say The Lazy Winner by Peter Taylor is in the latter category.
The Lazy Winner
It’s a good book. Well written. Smart. Funny.
But is it revolutionary? Will you learn a knockout principle that will change your life and send your ass drifting down the gold-brick paved sidewalk of Easy Street?
Not really.
But that’s cool. The Lazy Winner offers great reminders on how to live your life efficiently and effectively. From Pareto’s 80/20 rule to learning how to say no to projects that will waste your time, Taylor creates a solid plan to remind everyone that it’s not hard work that works, it’s smart work that works.
That’s an easy thing to forget.
The other reason this is a good book is that it compiles a number of common sense rules in one volume. While most books promise to deliver “a plan” to help you, the Lazy Winner actually does it.
Best of all, the Lazy Winner, currently, is FREE on Kindle!
So, I recommend it. Grab the eBook and start learning or relearning great life lessons.
I have some more suggestions for cheap Kindle books. Here are a few money and self-improvement-related Kindle books that are on sale for $3.99 and less.

Jon’s books are among the most riveting adventure-type books. This book, about the crazy sub-culture of mountain climbing, looks like it will be another classic.

Reboot Your Life
by Catherine Allen, Nancy Bearg, Rita Foley, and Jaye Smith
From the description:
“More Americans are choosing to take time off from work to relax or re-examine their priorities, so they can return to work energized. Some companies offer formal sabbatical programs, but how can the average person take time off to evaluate their direction, explore their passions, and make time for the things that are really important?Whether you’re disillusioned with your career, yearning to follow a dream, or taking time out after a layoff, now is the time to step back and reboot. This book will show you how you can give yourself the best gift ever–the gift of time. People who take sabbaticals report feeling happier, and they return to their jobs refreshed, reinvigorated, and ready to tackle new challenges. Reboot Your Life draws upon the experiences of the four authors and their interview subjects: 200 people who have taken sabbaticals and 150 organizations offering sabbatical programs. The book includes real-life stories and exercises to help the reader figure out how to plan for and take a sabbatical, or how to use unexpected time off.”
Have a great weekend folks!
