Myths can be long elaborate tales that detail the intricacies of how a person within a culture should act and react. But some of these myths are contained in short phrases–memes. These memes are powerful statements that can serve as everything from battle cries to financial advice and from mission statements to excuses.
You have probably heard these money memes a million times. But do you know how they control your life?
Money memes can work consciously and subconsciously, subtly affecting how you approach financial patterns and maybe even determining how prosperity or poverty is enfolded in your life. These memes are true, on a certain level, but can subtly lead you to extreme views.
Listen to the conversations around you this week. And, more importantly, listen to your internal conversation when you think about money.
