As I write this, there are 885,509,778 photos that have been uploaded to Flickr, the premier site for sharing photos. That is an average of 3 photos for every person in America! There are 5,000 photos added per minute! It seems that no matter what our interest it, we can find pictures on flickr.

The internet is the great equalizer, and the great sharing tool as well. It has created massive value for the users. And for the business owners as well.
YouTube, with a similar strategy of free sharing, went from a value of $10 million to $1.6 billion when it was sold to Google. That only took 10 months!
So, what’s the point of all this? The point is that it only takes one idea to make a billion (or two!) dollars. It takes an idea and a certain amount of commitment and dedication.
It takes commitment to overcome the challenges that inevitably appear. When YouTube started, there were a host of problems. People said, “That’s impossible. Video takes too much bandwidth. It will be too expensive.” But the founders pursued their goals and found a way to make it work.
And so it is with everything in life. When we set a goal, or dare to dream, problems will crop up. Its part of the game of life. If we are committed to achieving the goal and realizing the dream, we will find ways of getting around any problems that show up.
